In 2020, we declared a climate emergency and pledged we would do everything in our power to make the UK climate neutral by 2030. Although we are already underway to in reducing our carbon emissions and reaching this target, we feel it is important to ask citizens what else we can be doing to have an impact. Since a third of emissions in the UK are under the influence of local government, it is more important than ever that you get involved in helping us to take action and reduce our impact on the planet now. 

What kind of ideas can I submit?  

• It needs to be a new idea - not something we have already agreed on doing or are in the process of doing
• The idea can be any size, whether you focus on a particular neighbourhood, or a city-wide idea
• The idea should be financially realistic - we have a limited spending budget so ideas on how we can save money across the council area would be valued as well
